Welcome to the HVR Patch .

This patch offers further enhancements to HVR2 and addresses various minor problems shown on some PC configurations. Note: Patch 6 supersedes all previous patches. i.e. Patch 6 contains all previously released fixes and enhancements. The Patch will update your main 'HVR2.exe' file, the HVR2 configuration tool and install a new texture in the respective folder. You will also find a new shortcut in the 'Start' menu, under 'Hornby Hobbies' > 'HVR2', to the 'Readme-Patch6.txt' file, stored in the HVR2 root folder. This file contains full details of the enhancements introduced with this patch. Please print/read this file.

Enhancements with patch six

    * Screen auto-scrolling (can also be disabled in the configuration tool)
    * Navigation controllers now smaller on screen - this now matches the size of the train controllers implemented in Patch 5
    * Track piece limit now set to 2048 pieces
    * Individual loco controller status (visible/not visible) now saved in layout
    * 'Rakes totals' screen now available when left clicking 'Rake Totals' (bottom left of track control screen)

Patch Installation Instructions

Double left click the 'download setup file' to start installation. Please follow the on-screen prompts and instructions.

NOTE: If the Patch refuses to install, please uninstall HVR2 via the Windows Control Panel 'add/remove programs' function, carry out a full re-install before applying the Patch. Those who purchased the DREAMdirect package should install both HVR2 installation CDs before applying the Patch.

Telling if the Patch installed correctly

The latest version of the HVR2 Configuration Tool has extra features not found in the original release. Look for the feature 'Gamma adjustment' - if it does not appear in the tool, your HVR2 installation status is pre-Patch 5. If the 'Gamma' feature still doesnt appear after patch update process, please contact Hornby HVR2 Support by email: help.hvr2@hornby.com

If the 'Gamma adjustment' feature appears in the Configuration tool you should now be able to check the status of the installed main HVR2 program. Do this by looking at the bottom of the Configuration tool window and note the last 3 digits of the checksum shown. If the last 3 digits are 'c2f', Patch 6 has installed completely. If you see any other digits please contact us for further help. Please make a note of these last 3 digits.
